Underground Swedish Lair

This is Pionen, a former civil defence centre buried 30 metres under a mountain in the south of Sweden. In the 1970’s the underground bunker was used to protect essential government functions from a nuclear strike, however, in 2008 it was converted into a data centre by Sweden’s largest internet service provider, Bahnhof.

The centre is secured by a 40 centimetre thick door and only reachable through one entrance tunnel, capable of withstanding a hydrogen bomb.
