Nightmare On Elm Street House

Anyone over the age of 30 will most likely recognise this house, if not then the name ‘Freddy‘ should be instantly recognisable. A Nightmare On Elm Street is easily one of the most popular and terrifying horror movie franchises of the past 30 years, especially when you were a kid. The famous house from the first movie, where a lot of the film takes place, has just been sold after a huge renovation project for $2.1 million!

Here is what the house looks like today, from the front their is not too much difference, the door has changed colour, the windows are slightly different and the large plant that had crawled up the centre of the house has gone.

Once you pass the front door however, this home becomes unrecognisable to even the biggest movie fans. The house had fallen into pretty bad shape until the last owners, who just sold the property, did a huge renovation project on it it which took a whole year to complete. The pool in the back was black, paint was coming off the walls and the kitchen still had an 80’s feel to it.

The Nightmare on Elm Street house was originally built in 1919 but hugely renovated in the past few years. The entire layout downstairs has changed, the back of the house has been rebuilt and the pool is no longer black.
