The world’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge opened in 2014 at Sochi National Park, Russia. The 1800-foot long bridge is built over a beautiful 650-foot gorge, which offers breath-taking views of the surrounding mountains as well as the river below. One point on the bridge offers a whole different attraction…bungee jumping!
The bridge took two year to construct, using 740 tonnes of metal and 2,000 cubic metres of concrete. The bridge has been designed to withstand a 9-magnitude earthquake and can hold up to 3000 people at any one time.
