Bora Bora is a tiny island in the Leeward group of the Society Islands in French Polynesia. The island was inhabited by settlers around the 4th century, the first European sighting was by Dutch explorer Jakob Roggeveen in 1722. The island was used by US forces in WWII but was never saw any real military action, since then it has become popular for its famous Four Seasons hotel which is seen as one of the most luxurious locations on the planet.
